WHEATFIELD: Troopers sponsor women’s motorcycle ride

— The New York State Police, the Trooper Foundation and Allstate Insurance will sponsor the second annual “G.O. Ride — Girls Only Motorcycle Event” at 9 a.m. July 11 at Oppenheim Park, 2713 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield.
The event is designed for women riders or women who want to learn more about motorcycle riding and motorcycle safety. The event is free and will include a motorcycle instruction presentation given by a New York State Police motorcycle safety officer.
Local motorcycle vendors will be on site with motorcycles and equipment specifically designed for women. The event will also include an escorted motorcycle ride through the Niagara wine country, followed by a picnic with music from a local band.
