A Town of Lockport teen has been charged with possessing fireworks after sheriff’s deputies reportedly saw a box in his pickup during a traffic stop.
Stephen Geoffrey Boulden, 17, 6990 Creekview Drive, was charged Wednesday night with unlawful possession of fireworks.
Deputies stopped Boulden on Rapids Road about 11:43 p.m. after he reportedly passed a patrol car recklessly on Old Beattie Road.
During the traffic stop, deputies reportedly saw a cardboard box containing assorted fireworks in the back of Boulden’s pickup.
A plastic bag containing fireworks was also found, the report said. Deputies secured all the fireworks in the patrol car.
Boulden allegedly said the fireworks were his.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is due July 14 in Lockport Town Court.
