A Porter man who was burned from a home campfire Tuesday night was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, according to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies.
Sean P. Gray of 2324 Youngstown-Lockport Road, Porter, was in his backyard with a lit campfire around 7:15 p.m. when he attempted to put more gas on the fire to ignite some wet wood, according to reports.
The gas splashed onto Gray, catching his clothing on fire, according to Deputy Guy Fratello.
Gray suffered second-degree burns to his legs and left wrist, Fratello said.
