CHARGED: Maureen A. Kane, 45, 54 Morrow Ave. was charged with passing a red light and driving while intoxicated. Police observed Kane disobey a traffic signal at 3 a.m. Sunday on South Transit. The police made a traffic stop on Nichols Street and could smell the odor of alcohol. Kanes speech was slurred and she failed sobriety tests. She refused a breath screen.
CHARGED: Martin Galvan-Rodriguez, 42, no known address, Newfane was charged with DWI and failure to keep right. Police responded to a report of a reckless driver leaving the Niagara Hotel. Galvan-Rodriguez was located on State Road. He had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and failed field sobriety tests. He could not provide an address.
CHARGED: Jason C. Mesler, 23, 2061 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst was charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to signal and alcoholic beverage. Mesler was stopped for a traffic infraction Saturday. Police noted the odor of alcoholic beverage, glassy eyes, slurred speech and impaired motor skills. Mesler failed field sobriety tests.
CHARGED: Two Lockport men were charged after a fight at 9 p.m. Saturday on LaGrange St. Phillip A. Ruiz, 18, 111 Cottage St., Apt. 21, was charged with disorderly conduct and second degree attempted assault. Daniel S. Solomon, 19, 42 Harvey St. was charged with disorderly conduct. Police investigated a fight and found Solomon and Ruiz standing on the street with their shirts off yelling and making threatening gestures at a victim. The victim stated that Ruiz threw a rock at him and struck him in the head.
CHARGED: Mark F. Poole, 46, 5670 Bowmiller Road, was charged with fourth degree criminal mischief and two counts of second degree harassment. The victims reported they were driving on Davison Road Saturday when Poole drove by them and told them to get out of the road. According to the report, Poole punched one victim in the face and then hit a second victim who was attempting to call 911. The cell phone fell to the ground shattering the screen. The damage to the phone was about $200.
CHARGED: Pernell L. Hobbs, 24, 53 Crosby Ave. was charged with petit larceny. The patrol responded to a Crosby Avenue address on Saturday for a larceny report. The victim reported Hobbs took an XBox 360 and one game from his residence, according to the report.
Town of Lockport
GRAND LARCENY: A Lockport man reported that his 2001 Ford Ranger was stolen while in the parking lot of Tops Lockport on Wednesday. He states that the keys were not in the vehicle and does not know if it was locked. The Ranger had approximately 70,000 miles on it and an estimated value of $7,500.

DRUGS: Patricia Myers, 41, 6950 Charlottville Road, Newfane, was arrested Saturday evening and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and open container violation. Myers is being held in lieu of $500 bail.
DRUGS: James E. Taylor, 44, 2205 Fuller Road, Burt, was arrested Saturday evening and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and open container violation. Taylor is being held in lieu of $500 bail.
