WHEATFIELD: Four taken to hospital in 2-car crash

WHEATFIELD — An investigation is continuing into a two-car accident at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road that sent four people to the hospital early Friday morning.
The injured were taken to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Daniel Hernandez, 24, of Buffalo was southbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard at 7:22 a.m. when he made a left turn in front of a northbound vehicle driven by Kelsey Broadley, 17, of Wheatfield.
Hernandez said the sun was in his eyes, obstructing his view, according to the report. He was taken by ambulance to DeGraff Memorial Hospital with minor injuries
Broadley and her two passengers were transported to Buffalo Women and Children’s Hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries. With Broadley in the vehicle were a 13-year old relative and Kayla Jones, 17, of Wheatfield.
In addition to sheriff’s deputies, emergency responders came to the accident scene from the St. Johnsburg and Shawnee fire companies and Tri-Community and Rural Metro ambulance companies.
