Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — • In other matters, board members voted to approve the purchase of new entrance mats for the town hall on Dysinger Road. The lowest bid was $2,825 from Carpet Collection, which includes installation of the mats.

Councilman Mark C. Crocker said town officials did search for estimates from retailers.

“And this was the lowest price,” he said.

• Councilman Paul W. Siejak reported town residents have recycled $12,260 pounds of electronics during the first two months of 2013. That brought in $1,054 in revenue for the town.

• Board members also approved the purchase of two Ford F-250 pickup trucks for the water and sewer department. The purchase was off of a state bid from Van Bortel Ford in Rochester for a total of $52,554.06.

The town had budgeted $60,000 for the purchase, Smith said.
