MENACING: Justin M. Arndt, 29, 68 Saxton St., upper, was charged Sunday with second-degree menacing, second-degree harassment and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
MISCHIEF: John A. Cassenti, 31, 500 Prospect St., apt. 1, was charged Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. He is set to appear in city court this week.
Town of Lockport
MISCHIEF: A property owner in the 6500 block of Heather Drive reported a vehicle on the property was entered, and the navigation system inside was damaged, by an unknown person sometime overnight Saturday. The owner observed footprints toward and away from the vehicle in the driveway, but the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office was unable to secure impressions. Damage to the navigation system is estimated at $300.
STORM DAMAGE: A resident in the 6000 block of Robinson Road called 911 to report smoke inside the residence at 8:09 a.m. Sunday. Sheriff’s and local fire officials determined a power strip in the house was melted by a power surge, caused when a felled tree limb pulled down the electrical service line to the house. No structural damage to the house was observed by fire officials.
FRAUD: Kenneth E. Mitchell, 56, of Barker, was charged last week with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree offering to file a false instrument, all felonies. New York State Police said Mitchell was given a court appearance ticket.
DWI: Anthony R. Chirico, Jr., 62, 55 Melory Ave., Lackawanna, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, after Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a three-vehicle crash on South Transit Road. Chirico was arrested and taken to Niagara County Jail on $250 bail. He is due Thursday in Lockport Town Court.
DWI: Tammy J. Manning, 40, of Lockport, was charged with driving while intoxicated late Saturday, after New York State Police responded to a reported two-vehicle collision at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Schultz Road. Manning was released into the custody of a third party.
