Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Ransomville man with several alcohol-related convictions on his record was charged with felony driving while intoxicated in Cambria around 8:50 p.m. Sunday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said.
Cody J. Robichaud, 30, 3488 Youngstown-Lockport Road, Ransomville, was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon for a switchblade knife Sheriff’s Deputies found in his pocket. The felony DWI charge stems from Robichaud having a previous driving while intoxicated conviction within the last 10 years, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Robichaud, who was initially pulled over speeding, also received tickets for refusing a breath screening device, operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and speeding. He was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $750 bail and was due in Cambria Town Court on Wednesday, the Sheriff’s office said.
