Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A 14-year-old boy suffered leg and head injuries when he was struck by a car while riding along Robinson Road on Monday afternoon.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, deputies arriving to the scene, between South Transit Road and Snyder Drive found the boy on the shoulder of the roadway.
He was transported to Children's Hospital of Buffalo via Mercy Flight. None of the injuries appeared life threatening. An infant occupant of the vehicle was also transported to Children's Hospital as a precaution.
The investigation is continuing but the sheriffs office has determined that the boy was operating his bicycle westbound along the south shoulder of Robinson Road. He was struck by a vehicle when he pulled into the path of west bound traffic.
