Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A 2006 Newfane graduate, ranked fourth in his class, Irr also substitute teaches in a number of local districts. The World Karate Federation, the governing body for the sport of karate, has a worldwide membership of 188 countries, all of which will be represented in Paris. The World Karate Championships are held every two years, with 2012’s being the 21st edition of the event. Irr’s division starts the competition Friday.
