Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Residents can find an updated version of the Town of Lockport's proposed comprehensive plan, a document that influences officials' decisions concerning development, infrastructure and zoning.
That version is available online on the town’s website by clicking the link for the June 2014 draft plan on the front page. Changes to the plan are highlighted.
The plan lays out current conditions in the town, covering items such as socio-economics, demographics, land uses, utilities, environmental resources and so on. It also offers goals and recommendations for prosperity and growth in different areas of Lockport.
In the document is a series of maps, covering current conditions in Lockport for everything from zoning, to special districts, to sewer infrastructure and etc. There’s also a “vision map,” which reveals developing areas, as well as the Transit corridor and other areas targeted for growth.
Smith said the next meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 19 at Town Hall on Dysinger Road. People can submit comments by calling, mailing or emailing them to Town Board members.
