Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Lockport City School walkers and runners will be without the Emmet Belknap track for a few weeks.
Beginning Monday, the outdoor track that surrounds Max D. Lederer Field will be closed until Aug. 4, Superintendent Michelle T. Bradley informed the Board of Education on Wednesday.
The track will be resurfaced during that time, district officials said.
The track and field are located behind Emmet Belknap Intermediate School, 491 High St., although they can also be accessed from the district offices at 130 Beattie Ave.
Relay for Life will still be held at the Emmet track this weekend, beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday.
