Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Lockport man was charged with third-degree assault after throwing a kitchen knife from a second-floor window at another man with whom he was arguing Tuesday evening.
Nicholas A. Miller, 19, 23 Erie St., was also charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, according to Lockport police.
About 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Miller reportedly was yelling at the man from his second-story apartment and threw a steak knife out a window toward the man. The knife bounced off the ground and struck the victim on the back of his ankle, causing several cuts and pain. The victim attempted to walk home and was located by police.
The victim's sneaker was taken as evidence, along with photos of his injuries he sustained. The victim requested an order of protection from Miller, police said.
Miller was released on his own recognizance and was due in City Court on Wednesday.
