Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Free meals are being served to youths in designated area parks, the Niagara County Youth Bureau announced Tuesday.
Through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program, children up to 18 years old who are economically disadvantaged continue to have access to nutritious meals during summer vacation. Meals are comparable to school breakfast and school lunch meals.
Serving areas are parks located in areas of Niagara County cities that have significant concentrations of low-income children.
Designated serving sites in Lockport are Altro, Dolan and Outwater parks and the Lockport Salvation Army citadel.
