Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — The county legislature has a call out for resumes of residents interested in being appointed to the 4th District county coroner’s post, which is being vacated by Richard Rutland at the end of this month.
The 4th District is composed of the towns of Cambria, Newfane, Wilson, Lewiston, Porter and Niagara.
Any district resident who is at least 18 years old, is a United States citizen, and is not a Niagara County employee, may apply.
Applications will consist of a resume and letter of interest. They should be delivered to the 4th District Ad Hoc Committee, care of Mary Jo Tamburlin, Niagara County Legislature Clerk, 175 Hawley St., Lockport, NY 14094. Mailed applications must be postmarked by May 3.
The committee will select applicants for face-to-face interviews and will recommend one candidate for appointment by the legislature. The appointment will be effective through Dec. 31.
