SANCTUARY HAS LIFE

Girl Scouts plan Skateland party with prizes, businesses chip in

(Continued)

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Those who donate will receive a ticket to win some gift certificates or baskets. The girls have had wonderful support from generous area businesses, according to co-leaders Barb Faller and Capell.

”These girls have worked very hard on this project and really want to make it a success to help the animals at Lakeview,” Capell said. “They have been calling people and hanging their posters.”

It’s not pretty on Fiegle Road, but there is progress. Sean Fitzgibbon of Cambria, Dave Hedley of Olcott and James Moore of Newfane are working on construction of the 100-by-32-foot barn for Parco Builder Systems. Paul Perna, a manager of Tops Market in Lockport, is providing some food for the animals.

Pfohl lost her appointment book and gift vouchers which were on the dashboard of the Blazer that burst into flames. The sanctuary takes part in many community activities and requested those who booked activities to give her a call.

The sanctuary will participate in Light Up Lockport on Saturday and Tom Butterball will bin the city to have his picture taken with children — and grownups.

Stevie V’s and Family Video of Lockport and Schimschacks and Franks Marketplace of Sanborn have donated prizes. Several Niagara Falls businesses have kicked in with certificates.
