Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — The change would allow for mining along the north side of Hinman Road, about 300 feet toward an existing quarry. Under Department of Environmental Conservation regulations, mining would be allowed up to 140 feet within a highway.
A public hearing on the code change will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5, at the town hall on Dysinger Road.
• Councilman Paul W. Siejak said the final brush pick up of the season will take place this month. For residents who live north of either Hinman Road or Lincoln Avenue, pick up will take place Nov. 19.
