Rite Aide employee faces charges

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Rite Aid employee, who is accused of stealing drugs and money from the pharmacy is to appear in court Lockport Court on Thursday before Judge Raymond Schilling.

Jeannine M. Lapaglia, 45,  is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class C felony, and fourth-degree grand larceny. She was arrested by the State Police on Friday and remanded to Niagara County Jail on $1,000 bail.

According to the report, State Police was contacted by Rite Aid security after they conducted an internal investigation related to the theft of money by an employee that involved voided transactions and altered transactions. The investigation revealed that Lapaglia had stolen 1,300 hydrocodone pills from the pharmacy over five months. 

An investigation revealed that she was giving the stolen hydrocodone pills to an unidentified subject while she kept the stolen money for herself, according to State Police.
