Olcott Beach open again

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — The Niagara County Department of Health has rescinded a beach advisory at Olcott Beach in Newfane.

The department said Friday water quality at the beach is once again suitable for recreational swimming.

The health department said recent surveillance sampling at Olcott Beach in Olcott New York has determined that the water is suitable for swimming. The Niagara County Department of Health will continue to monitor water quality closely and will immediately notify the public of any problems associated with water quality.

Additional information is posted on the Niagara County web site at www.niagaracounty.com.
