Dog bites three in 24 hours

LOCKPORT — A Town of Lockport woman has been advised to quarantine her dog until it is evaluated by the Niagara County SPCA.

A sheriff's deupty was sent Monday at 3 p.m. to the home of Carrie L. Sullivan, 31, of 66 Maple Lane to investigate a report of a dog bite.

Sullivan told the deputy that her dog bit a female, no age or address given, in the face. The female's parents took her to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport for treatment.

According to the sheriff's report, Sullivan, Monday afternoon's incident was the third time her dog bit someone in the past twenty four hours. The other two bites were not reported and did not cause injury.

Sullivan said she called the SPCA about the bites. She said they told her to secure the dog in the house and they would come out on July 25 to evaluate the dog.

The deputy advised Sullivan  to keep the dog away from others.
