Alleged Cornerstone robber going before grand jury

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — A Town of Lockport woman charged with attempting to rob the Transit Road Cornerstone Federal Credit Union will have her case heard before a grand jury.

Dale L. Swain, 55, of the Town of Lockport, appeared in Lockport Town Court on Thursday. She has been charged with third-degree robbery following her arrest Monday in Buffalo by the U.S. Marshals’ Violent Felony Task Force.

During the robbery, Swain allegedly entered the bank and handed a teller a series of three notes demanding cash. The amount of money stolen was not disclosed. No weapon was displayed.

Swain was immediately identified after the robbery. She is being held at Niagara County Jail on $50,000 bail.
