LOCKPORT — Ominous clouds meant for a lighter-than-normal turnout for Lockport's Monday Night Car Cruise and a light shower around 6:30 p.m. chased away many of those who had showed up for Ladies Night.

But the skies cleared and the rain stopped and the cruise proceded as normal with about 20 cars and Hank Nevins playing tunes for the remainder of the evening.

The cruise will continue next week with British Car Night. Other weekly themes coming up include Van Night with the CRS band on Aug. 12, Community Night featuring UNYTS "Blood Donation" and the Hot Country Liners on Aug. 19, Terry Buchwald in a Salute to the King! on Aug. 26, a Labor Day Super Cruise with a 3 p.m. start on Sept. 2, and an extra cruise on Sept. 9.
