Integris offering expertise

Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — Integris Financial Group may be a new name, but the people are not.

John W. Shepard and Sean P. Hayden announced they have formed Integris Financial Group, located at 5860 Snyder Drive in the Medical Campus in the Town of Lockport.

Shepard was previously located at 131 East Ave. for 20 years and has been a financial adviser for over 30 years. He has a lot of experience and knowledge of the financial markets in both the U.S. and overseas. An established, trusted and knowledgeable adviser in the area, Shepard has conducted a radio call-in show on WLVL for 20 years, where he has become the “Investment Voice of Niagara” by discussing investments and investing on Friday mornings.

Hayden has been a financial adviser for over four years, previously with Edward Jones, and has established a large client base around Western New York. Hayden was born and raised in Lockport, graduating from Lockport schools. After graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a degree in business administration and economics, Hayden began his career in the financial industry. As a partner of Integris, Hayden has developed expertise in managing portfolios for clients with objectives of growth and income.

“It has been my desire to go independent for a few years now. I began to recognize that there is a need for an experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated and professionally diversified group of financial people within one organization that can provide the total investment needs of individuals, families and businesses in the area,” Shepard said. “This encompasses retirement planning, estate planning, investment programs and portfolio management which also include the assets of corporations and nonprofit organizations.”

In today’s interest rate environment, organizations - nonprofits especially - are finding it difficult to generate enough income to offset expenses. Integris will develop an income program to help offset some of those expenses with cash flow that can help meet current needs and supplement other sources.
