Lockport Union-Sun & Journal — PB&J dance on tap at Barker
Seventh- and eighth-grade students in the Barker Central School District have a dance on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the high school gym.
Admission is $4, but the cost is cut in half if students bring in a jar of peanut butter or jelly.
The dance, sponsored by the Junior High Student Council, includes the food drive thanks to the efforts of sophomore Paige Fudella. She said the peanut butter and jelly will go to local food pantries to help those who don’t have money for their own food.
Fudella said she got the idea from Pete Robinson of Lockport, whose annual PB&J drive kicks off Nov. 1.
