MONDAY: Lockport Post Office earns five star rating (3:07 p.m.)
The Lockport Post Office on East Avenue is one of 60 western New York post offices recognized as a “five star” site.
A five star post office is determined by responses from a Gallup Organization survey of its postal customers. Customers are asked to rate local post offices on efficiency, accuracy and consistence of delivery and wait-time in line. A five star score is based on the number of excellent ratings the post office received from customers.
A minimum of 10 responses per ZIP Code is needed for consideration as a five star office.
Other area post offices to achieve five star recognition include Akron, Angola, Batavia, Clarence, Depew, Elma, Grand Island, Hamburg, Lake View, North Tonawanda, Orchard Park, Springville, Tonawanda, and the Niagara Falls Main Post Office.
Buffalo stations and branches to achieve this distinction include Central Park Station, East Side Station, Northside Station, Blasdell Branch, Westside Station, Hiler Branch, West Seneca Branch, Cheektowaga Branch, and Amherst Branch.
