Gina Ballard of Lockport, a Buffalo State College graduate student, is the recipient of the Wilson Greatbatch Graduate Assistant Award for her involvement as a graduate teaching assistant in the school’s chemistry department.
Ballard has a 3.81 GPA and is pursuing a master of arts in chemistry. According to a press release, she is receiving the award because she “has provided concern for the welfare of students and has shown that she has a positive attitude towards assigned responsibilities.”
In recognition of her achievements, Ballard was awarded with a $100 scholarship at the Chemistry Department’s awards luncheon on May 2. Before attending Buffalo State, she attended Starpoint Central High School. Ballard is the daughter of Ron and Linda Ballard.
