It's official, Edward Waller and Robert Weller have won two three-year terms on the Lewiston-Porter school board.
Incumbent James Mezhir is out, paving the way for a new board majority of fiscal conservatives unofficially lead by controversial figure Ed Lilly.
This year's election was marred by some ugliness, including keyed cars, anonymous mailings accusing candidates of impropriety, and face-to-face name-calling in the hours leading up to Tuesday's results.
For the vote totals and more on this year's tense race, see Thursday's Gazette.
