A Sanborn teen was arrested after he allegedly led sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase on Lewiston roads early Tuesday.
The incident began when Daniel John Heberle, 18. 2829 Elm St., was allegedly clocked going 58 mph in a 45 mph zone on Townline Road, south of Upper Mountain Road, the report said.
Deputies tried to intiate a traffic stop, but Heberle allegedly kept driving, gaining speed as he went north.
During the pursuit, Heberle allegedly reached 110 mph in the area of Townline Road and Albright Road.
Heberle reportedly pulled over at Townline Road and Ridge Road, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies asked Heberle why he had tried to evade them, and he had no answer, the report said.
The passenger in his car, a 17-year-old female, was given a ride home by deputies.
Heberly was held in lieu of $500.
