Joseph E. Hilton

LOCKPORT — Joseph E. Hilton entered into rest January 9, 2014. Born November 30, 1943, he was the son of the late James and Anna Melcher.

Joe retired from Upson's and served in the U.S. Army from 1966-68, during the Vietnam War.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Hilton on July 1, 2009. He is survived by his step-children, Paul Baldwin, Fred Baldwin, Michael (Kim) Haynes, Helen Baldwin and Betty (Raymond) Rounds; beloved granddaughter who he raised, Jenny Ann Baldwin. Step-grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of two. Brother of Ronald (Judy) Schmidt, James (Kendra) Melcher and the late George Prybeck. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 3-7 PM on Monday at the TAYLOR & REYNOLDS FUNERAL HOME, where military honors will be held at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Bath National Cemetery. Memorials to the American Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
