ROYSE CITY, TX — Harry B. Hulse, age 94, of Royse City, TX, went to be with his Lord on December 14, 2013. He was born in Bergen county, NJ on June 3, 1919 to Bessie and Silas Hulse. Harry was a graduate of Tenafly High School in Tenafly, NJ and attended the University of Maine. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industries and the Pulp and Paper Foundation at the University of Maine. For the past 26 years Harry was a winter Texan in Mercedes.

He had worked for several companies, most interestingly Lionel Trains and the Robert Gair Company before being asked to work for Uncle Sam. Harry joined the U.S. Navy in June 1944 and served on LSM 364 in the Pacific Theater. During his hitch he saw such places as Hawaii, China, Korea and Houston, where he met the love of his life for 60 years, Fralick Williamson.

After being discharged from the Navy, Harry returned to Connecticut. On May 31, 1947, in Houston, he married Fralick Williamson. Harry spirited his southern bell to Yankee land. They had stops in Connecticut and New Jersey before finally landing in Lockport, NY, where he took a position with the Upson Company as the plant chemist and quality control manager. Harry would remain with Upson until he retired in 1982. He was an avid Cubs fan.

He is survived by his son, Randy Hulse and wife, Phyllis of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren, Casey Hulse of Garland, TX, and Chance Hulse and fianceÈ Michelle of Dallas, TX; three nephews and two nieces. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and his wife, Fralick.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Rest Haven        Funeral Home - Rockwall Chapel, with Rev. Timothy Greenawalt and Rev. Oscar Roan         officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM in DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain View Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
