NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Donald Baumgartner passed away on October 30, 2012 in Lockport. Born on December 30, 1929, he was the son of Leonard and Edith (Hadderman) Baumgartner.
He served in the Army from 1947-1949 and was discharged on January 2, 1950 in Panama. He worked at Niagara University for seven years. He then worked 25 years for the Williamsville School System as maintenance of furnaces, air conditioners, and pools in all of the different Williamsville Schools. He was a former member of the Hartland United Methodist Church and current member at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church. He was married to Shirley for 47 years, who passed away in January 2005.
He is survived by his wife, June Phillips-Baumgartner; two sons, Leonard (Deborah) of Florida and David (Linda) of Ransomville, NY; brother of Norbert (Cathy) of East Aurora, NY and Ralph (Cindy) of Williamsville, NY. Also survived by Junes children, Brenda (Wayne) Forrest of Gasport, NY and Fred (Rosalyn) Phillips of Arkansas; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:30 AM at the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11:30 AM. Donations to the PCUM Church or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
