Larry W. Carmer

ROCHESTER — Larry W. Carmer, of Appleton, NY,  husband of Laurie Landen Carmer, entered into rest Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.

He was born in Lockport, NY on May 13, 1965. Larry married Laurie Landen on December 19, 1998. He worked as supervisor for the NYS Department of Transportation for the past 12 years.

Larry was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church and Olcott Fire Company, where he was currently trustee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping and jet skiing.

Father of Kevin (Kelsey Canham) Castile of Gasport, NY, Kaitlyn and Brianna Carmer at home.  Son of Lawrence and Shirley Donelson Carmer of Lockport, NY. Brother of Sheri (Michael) Lavocat and Randy (Wendy) Carmer, both of Lockport. Brother-in-law of Colleen (Kevin) Gaskill of  Lockport. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY, THURSDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held FRIDAY at 11:00 AM in West Somerset Baptist Church, 1876 Hosmer Road, Appleton, NY  14008. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY. Memorials to Olcott Fire Company, 1691 Lockport Olcott Road, Olcott, NY 14126, would be appreciated by the family.
