Douglas G. Quinn

APPLETON — Mr. Douglas G. Quinn, of Appleton, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, November 16, 2013 in the Town of Newfane, while doing the work he loved.

Mr. Quinn was born in Lockport, October 5, 1955, a son of the late Peter J. and Janice (Budde) Quinn, Jr. A graduate of Barker High School, class of 1973, he married the former Beverly Jean Crawford on January 21, 1989. Doug had a lifelong love of the land and farming. He was employed by Snyder Farms and Voelpel Farms for many years.  He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Jean; his son, Francis J.L. (Melissa) Russell III of NC; two    daughters, Brittanie N. Quinn and Emily A. Quinn; his sister, Cynthia (Jonathan) Incho of Medina and brother, Jeffrey A. (Janice) Quinn of Appleton; his father-in-law, Lewis (late Freda) Crawford of   Medina; two  sisters-in-law, Linda (Delbert) Jackson of Knowlesville and Alice (Michael) Barnum of Lyndonville; a brother-in-law, Eric (Linda) Crawford of Rochester; his uncle, Laverne F. Budde of French Creek; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Friends may call on Wednesday (3-6) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barker Alumni Assn., POB 266, Barker, NY      14012-0266.
