Lloyd T. Jones

BUFFALO — Lloyd T. Jones, of Middleport, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital.

Mr. Jones was born in Middleport on October 8, 1936, son of the late Carl and Matie (Thiel) Jones and he had lived in Middleport all of his life.

He was employed at Harrison Radiator Division, retiring after 40 plus years. He and his wife, Geneva (Davis) Jones were married July 11, 1959.

He was a lifetime member of the Hartland Conservation Club and was a pistol safety            instructor for New York State. He was also a hunting training instructor and a member of the Medina Railroad Museum. Mr. Jones enjoyed his family, hunting and was a avid railroad lantern collector.

He was predeceased by his wife, Geneva  M. Jones on April 9, 2004; and by a sister, Joyce Freck.

He is survived by three daughters, Audrey Jones, Bonnie Jones and Candy (Paul) McQueen, all of Middleport; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Donald Freck of Medina.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport, where funeral services will be held Monday at   11:00 AM, with the Rev. Rodney Klinzing officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to the Medina Railroad Museum or the Hartland Conservation Club would be appreciated by the Jones family.
