Florence B. Raetz

NEWFANE — Florence B. Raetz, of Newfane, wife of the late William Raetz, entered into rest Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Newfane Rehab and Healthcare Facility. She was born in North Tonawanda July 15, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Lindstedt Bartel.

Florence worked at Gerber Foods in Appleton, NY. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and bowling. Florence also enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

Mother of Walter (Myrna) Raetz of Green Achers, FL, Florence Tarajos of Gasport, David (Sonja) Raetz of Lake Orion, Michigan and the late Richard and William Raetz, Jr. Sister of Janet Wilber of Lockport. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY, TUESDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where funeral services will be held WEDNESDAY at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Corwin Cemetery following the service.
