Sally J. Ward

LOCKPORT —

Sally J. Ward passed away on October 1, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on February 19, 1947 in Buffalo, NY. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Grace (Smith) Tagg.
Mrs. Ward was a secretary for the county for many years. She was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 26 years sobriety. She was predeceased by her brother, Kevin Tagg; sister, Cathy Palmer; the love of her life, husband and companion, John F. Ward; and her biological mother, Marion Palmer.
Sally is survived by her children, Tonja (Todd) Rose of Florida, Michael (Kim) Evans of Lockport and TarraSue (Vince) Hughes of Lockport; her grandchildren, James Bowes (Lockport), Joseph Bowes (Lockport), TJ Rose (Florida), Teshna Evans (Florida), Brian Scott (Marieke) Evans (California), Krystal Evans (Florida), Taylor Evans (Florida), Justine Evans (Florida), Courtney Hughes (Lockport), Brittany Hughes (Lockport), Michelle Evans (Lockport), Whitney Hughes (Lockport), Megan Evans (Lockport) and Morgan Evans (Lockport); her great-grandchildren, Travecia, Jahvontae, Ivy, and Janelle of Florida and Haley, Maycle, Mariah, Amiyah and Braden of Lockport; her siblings, Barbara (Don) Sherman of Newfane, Eddie (Cheryl) Tagg of Lockport, Bobby Palmer, Russell Palmer, Junior (Art) Palmer, Patti (Randy) Ray, Bruce Palmer, Maria Shaver and Tammy Palmer. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
From the bottom of our hearts, the family would like to thank Ronda Criswell for taking good care of our mom/grammy in a time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 5th at 2 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.
