Gary F. Lindke

MEDINA — Gary F. Lindke, 70, of Medina, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday morning, November 5, 2013.

Born on January 7, 1943, in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late Milfred and Leora (Reek)    Lindke.

He graduated from Medina High School in 1961 and on September 10, 1965, he married the former Jeanette Petrie, together making their home in Medina. He worked various jobs, including Vosler's Lumber, Medina Cold Storage and lastly, Ontario Container. He served in the National Guard, receiving the NYS Military Commendation Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lindke; a son, Brett (Lisa) Lindke of Kentucky; a grandson, Joshua Caleb Lindke; a brother, Duane Lindke and an aunt, Marian Gwyn, both of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, from 10 AM-12 Noon, with a memorial service at 12 Noon, with the Rev. Catherine Benjamin officiating and the Rev. Rick Damey co-officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Rd. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gary's name to        Hospice of Orleans Co., P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411.
