Donald Edward Corwin

RENO, NV — Donald Edward Corwin passed away in Reno, NV. He was born in Lockport, NY to Florence    Perry and Elwood B. Corwin. He graduated valedictorian from Newfane High School and      attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Albany, NY, before serving in the United States Army in Munich, Germany.

Don worked as a Construction Manager, which took him to work in many states and countries. Projects included BART Stations, San Onofre Nuclear Plant, Hydro Electric Dams, and even building the Palace for the Sultan of Brunei on the island of Borneo.

Mr. Corwin enjoyed playing poker, gem faceting, astronomy, rocks and mineral collecting, reading and flying his own plane. Donald and his wife, Carol, visited all five continents in their   43 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Donald Jr., Cara-Lee (Karsen), Bryan and John Hennessy (Erin); grandchildren, Kyle, Christopher, John August, Peter and Brandy; sister, Dorothy Degnan and her two daughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Lillian Leighton.
