Roger Foltz, Jr.

PAINESVILLE, OH — Funeral services for Roger Foltz, Jr., age 89, will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077,  where friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday.

The son of Roger and Florence (Bell) Foltz, Sr. was born on August 21, 1924 in Washburn, WI. He was raised in Lockport, NY, and settled in Painesville in 1956. Roger passed away on January 14, 2014, at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Twp.

He graduated from Lockport High School, class of 1942. Mr. Foltz retired in 1990 as an Engineer from the former Coe Mfg. Co. in Painesville.

A member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Mentor, Roger enjoyed          photography, traveling, wood carving and reading.

Survived by sons, Stephen (Barbara) Foltz and David Foltz; grandchildren, Karen Van Wagner of Springfield, MA, Heather Dube of East Longmeadow, MA, Rachel Foltz of East    Longmeadow, MA, Stephen Foltz, Jr. of East Longmeadow, MA; great-grandchildren,             Cassandra Van Wagner of Ludlow, MA, Nathaniel Van Wagner of Springfield, MA, Jaden Foltz of East Longmeadow, MA, Gabrielle Foltz of  East Longmeadow, MA, Hayley McMann of East Longmeadow, MA; sisters, Frances Kane of Washington, DC, Patricia Gritzmacher of Lockport, NY. Preceded in death by his wife, Jannett, in 1995; brothers, John, Thomas and James Foltz.

Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
