Joseph B. Scaccia

WELLSVILLE — Together in life and together in death, Joseph B. Scaccia and his father, Joseph C. Scaccia passed away accidentally while working together on their race car.

Joseph B. Scaccia, 41, passed away on Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2013), at his father's home. He was born on Dec. 1, 1971 in Lockport to Joseph C. and Jane (Lewis) Scaccia. He was a 1990 graduate of Royalton-Hartland High School. On Dec. 31, 2001, in Wellsville, he married the love of his life, Audrey, who survives. Joey worked for Gerald Peet Concrete in Wellsville before becoming disabled.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Sonya Scaccia, Sabre Scaccia, Felena Scaccia, all of Wellsville, and Carmen Scaccia of Olcott; two sons, Reno Scaccia and Roman Scaccia, both of Wellsville; his mother, Jane Scott of Lockport; three brothers, Stephen M. (Tracie) Scott of Lockport, Joel McClure of Texas, and Robert T. Scaccia of Wellsville; one sister, Tanya M. Scaccia of Buffalo; one granddaughter, Nevaeh Scaccia and another grandchild soon to arrive; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joey was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He was a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his children.

Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Baker-Swan Funeral Home, 3256 Riverside Drive in Wellsville, and on Tuesday from 1-3 PM at the Assembly of God Church, 200 Beattie Ave., in Lockport. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3 PM at the church immediately following the visitation, with Rev. Daniel Kenyon of the Wellsville Bible Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Joey's wife and children to help with expenses may be sent c/o Wellsville Bible Church, PO Box 155, Wellsville, NY 14895.
