Robert F. "Bob" Bauer, Sr.

CITY OF TONAWANDA — Robert F. "Bob" Bauer, Sr., age 67, of the City of Tonawanda, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 under the care of Hospice Buffalo, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 14, 1946, the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (nee Borsick) Bauer, Sr.

Bob graduated Tonawanda High School, Class of 1964. He married Janet (nee LaJoy) Bauer on September 24, 1966 in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Bob entered the U.S. Army in February of 1967, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Columbus-McKinnon, Dana Corp., Ivacco and retired from the Williamsville School District in October of 2011. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, being with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet (nee LaJoy) Bauer; his children, Robert (Julie) Bauer, Jr., Michelle (Kevin) Krisnosky and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Collins; three grandchildren, Vaughnna, Erik, and Alexander Bauer; his sister, Katherine (William) Langenfeld. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph (Beverly of Geneseo) Bauer, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25th from 4-8 PM at the JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St., (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) Tonawanda, NY, where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26th at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd., P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240.
