Warren G. Laskey of Lockport, husband of Naomi Bancroft Laskey, entered into rest on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Medina, NY. He was born on December 12, 1936 in Medina, NY. Son of the late Frank and Mary Rook Laskey.
Warren worked at Newfane Central School as the head custodian for 35 years. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1955-1957. Warren was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed bow hunting and was a muzzleloading enthusiast.
He was a member of the Alabama Hunt Club and was involved in the WNY Pistol League where he was seventh best in the early '70s. Warren enjoyed RC airplanes where he flew with the Krull Park Club. Warren enjoyed his beloved 1970 Chevelle ss.
Father of Mark (Laura) Laskey of Appleton, Debra Shoelles of Lockport, Teresa (Wayne) Ryman of Dansville, PA, and Deanna Shubbuck(Douglas Thompson) of Bowling Green, KY. Grandfather of Jacob Laskey, Ian, Ashley, Eric Ryman, Stephen (Candice) and Phillip Shubbuck, Daniel, Andrew, Amanda, Rosemary, Kayla Shoelles. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Eleanor Laskey.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY on THURSDAY from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held on FRIDAY at 10:30AM in the Pendleton United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Burial will be in Bates Road Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton St., Buffalo, NY 14263, would be appreciated by the family.
