Elton C. Forsyth

GASPORT —

Elton C. Forsyth of Gasport, husband of Suzan Yuhuas Forsyth, entered into rest unexpectedly after an illness on Thursday May 23, 2013 at DeGraff Hospital. Elton was born in Burt, NY on November 16, 1934, son of the late Everett and Luella Bixler Forsyth.
He worked at Lockport Housing Authority for many years. Elton served in the Army and he was an active member of the American Legion. He enjoyed metal detecting, traveling, biking and maps.
Father of Lorraine (Wayne) Genewick of Tucson, AZ, Susan (Tom) Kibler of Tucson, AZ, Gordon (Erica) Forsyth of Mt. Olive, NJ, Rose (Ron Routhier) Opera of Lockport, NY, Cynthia Gorham of Tucson, AZ, James Forsyth of Alexandria, VA and Daniel (Steven Stewart) Forsyth of Annandale, VA. Brother of Edward (Edith) Forsyth of Lockport, NY, Richard (Vivian) Forsyth of Burt, NY and the late George (Dot), Lorraine and Raymond Forsyth. Step-father of Ronald (Marge) Schultz of Lockport, NY, Lori Knobel of Tonawanda, NY, Kenneth (Tracy) Schultz of Getzville, NY and Lynnette (Joseph) Wapniewski of Williamsville, NY. Also survived by nineteen-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108 on WEDNESDAY from 1-3 PM and 6-9 PM, where a funeral service will be held on THURSDAY at 10 AM. Burial will be held in Corwin Cemetery.
