Mary T. Chapman

AURORA, OH —

Mary T. Chapman passed away on July 2, 2013 in Independence Village in Aurora, OH. Born on October 22, 1919 in Proton, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of Matthew and Anna (Cronin) Gonter.
Mary worked for Harrison Radiator in the personnel insurance department. She was a member of the Dale Association, Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild, AARP, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary. Mary was an avid crafter, doll collector and accomplished seamstress. Mary was predeceased by her husband whom she married on October 20, 1951 Garland R. "Chapy" Chapman on May 7, 1979.
Mary is survived by her children, James (Faye) Chapman of Los Altos, CA, William (Susan) Chapman of Alden, David (Carrie) Chapman of Yorbalinda, CA, Patricia (late Richard) Phillips of Streetsboro, OH and the late Gary Chapman; grandmother of ten and great grandmother of four; sister of Cathleen Petrie of West Seneca and the late Richard Gonter, Rev. Louis Gonter and Matthew Gonter.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, July 5th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 6th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
