Michelle L. Bowers passed away in Niagara Hospice House, December 26, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 3,1961 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Margaret (Thompson) Edbauer and the late Howard Edbauer.
Michelle enjoyed crocheting as a pastime, but her true enjoyment came from family, especially her grandchildren. She worked as a nursing assistant at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport for ten years, retiring in 2011 due to health.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Robert Bowers; mother of William (Kortnee) Perry of Lockport, Douglas (Jessica) Perry of Alden, Scott Perry and Renee Perry, both of Lockport; step-mother of Robert Bowers, Jr.; grandmother of Jonathan Tenbroeck, Aiden Tenbroeck, Elizabeth Perry, Breanna Perry and Logan Tenbroeck. She also was the sister of Howard (Lynn) Edbauer of Lockport, Frances (Patrick) Gormley of West Amherst, Pamela (Michael) Ball of Lockport, Sandra Edbauer of East Amherst, and the late Rose Kobos; sister-in-law of Robert Kobos, William Bowers and Debra and William Dunham.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 1-5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held immediately following at 5 PM. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
