Monica Haley Wruck passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Tampa, FL, after a brief illness. A lifelong Catholic, she was born in Lockport, NY on April 26, 1927, the daughter of the late Raymond and Kathleen Collins. Monica worked as a lab assistant at the Monsanto Chemical Company in Lockport, and then as a secretary with the Army Intelligence Division in Washington, D.C., and Tokyo, Japan. She spent many years of her adult life living in the Panama Canal Zone where she worked as an Administrative Officer at the Dredging Division.
Monica was predeceased by her husband, Francis Wruck of Tampa, FL; her brothers, Eugene, Raymond, William and Earl; and her sister, Dorothy, all of Lockport, NY. She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Jeff) Duncan, Joanne (Dane) Wiskowski , Marilyn Wruck and son, John Wruck. Monica is also survived by her siblings, Rita (Daniel) Illig of Lockport, NY, Mark Haley, of Michigan, Janet (John) Taylor of Lockport, NY, and Frank (Jane) Haley of Lockport, NY. Monica's surviving grandchildren are Carly, Vincent and Luke Wiskowski, and Lauryn, David and Robert Dorzback.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Monica's name to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
