Donald E. Carolus

LOCKPORT —  

Donald E. Carolus, died on February 10, 2013 in the care of Niagara Hospice House. He was born on January 12, 1938 in Lewistown, PA, to the late Florence Carolus.
Donald proudly served in the Air Force for eight years and owned and operated Carolus Tax Service for forty one years. He also worked as an inspector for Harrison Radiator and did some construction work in Pennsylvania for a short time. He was a member of American Legion B. Leo Dolan 410, Lock City Moose, Eagles Aerie 1411, and was a permanent camper at Niagara County Camp Resort for over 20 years. Donald was good with his hands and loved making and building things.
He is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Rose Marie; a son, Mitchell (Maureen) Carolus of Lockport; two sisters, Kathryn (Ken) Becker of Texas and Debbie St. Cyr of Lockport; grandchildren, Adam (Stephanie) Carolus, Jason Carolus, and Holly Wilkinson. Donald is also survived by step-grandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth, and Stacey Cuzzacrea; seven great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Friday, February 15th from 6-7 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 PM at the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Ave., Lockport. The family would appreciate memorial donations to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.
