Shirley Ann Denny

WILSON —  

Shirley Ann (Singer) Denny, age 76, of Wilson, entered into rest on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center. Born on December 24, 1935 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis G. and Margaret Baes Singer.
Shirley married Lee Denny on September 5, 1953 in Wilson, NY. Mr. Denny died on December 26, 2005. Shirley and her husband had lived in Hawaii for 18 years, where she worked as a medical assistant for the State of Hawaii. From Hawaii, they moved to Las Vegas and then on to Florida. They then moved back to Wilson to be close to family. Shirley loved animals, especially her bird,Harry, reading and being with her family.
Shirley is survived by her dear children, Mike Denny of Wilson and Dale (Tina) Denny of Wilson. Grandmother of Dale Denny, Jr.; and sister of the late William T. Singer and Helen D. Boyer. Dear friend of Mary Roberts. Shirley is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the St. Brendan on the Lake R.C. Church, Lake Street and Mechanic Street, Wilson, NY. Memorials appreciated to the Wilson Fire Company #1, 250 Young Street, Wilson, NY 14172.
