Melvin L. Weir passed peacefully at home on July 1, 2014. Born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1940, he was the son of Melvin E. and Viola (Goodenough) Weir.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Canisius College and his Master's Degree from Niagara University. He was the owner/operator of Weir Accounting Services for 45 years. He also taught Mathematics at DeSales High School and Business/Accounting classes for 30 years at Newfane Senior High School. He was active in NYSUT (New York State United Teachers), NTA (Newfane Teachers Association) and National Society of Public Accountants.
