Linda Maples-Adams

LOCKPORT — Linda Maples-Adams passed away June 7, 2013. Linda was born September 16, 1935 in Manchester, CT. She was the daughter of the late G. Albert and Beatrice (Johnson) Pearson.

She was predeceased by Jerome Rutkoski; they were married November 26, 1954 and later moved to the Lockport area. She married William E. Maples June 28, 1975. After the passing of William, she married William J. Adams September 3, 1988.

Linda received her degree as a Licensed X-ray Technician in 1965. She worked in the hospital and later private practice. She received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1973, where she worked for many years at Broidy Health Care Facility. After retiring, she worked part-time as secretary for Warrens Corners UMC.

Linda was a member of the Red Hat Society, Write Touch writers group where she was a     published author; Angeles Chapter 559 Eastern Star; Linda was a five time Matron and a 25-year member, and many other organizations. She enjoyed her family and friends, music, photography and camping. She was the manager of Browns Campgrounds for many years.

Linda is survived by her sister, Karin (Peter) Koch of New Hampshire. She was the step-mother of Jasper (Colleen) Adams, David (Jenny) Adams, Suzette Donelson, Jeffery Adams, all of Lockport; cousin, Danny (Beth and family) Holler; many grand and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Warrens Corners UMC, Stone Road, Lockport, NY, on June 21, 2013, at 6 PM. Pastor Carl Chamberlain officiating. Memorials may be made to the Warrens Corners UMC.
